I was really fortunate to be invited to a luncheon to learn about FosterOn and the efforts to address challenges many youth in our foster care system face. The discussions that afternoon inspired me to get involved as a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for a child in the foster care system. It’s heartbreaking to know there are children who don’t know the comfort and security of having someone who is always fighting for them. To be that someone is an incredibly rewarding privilege and I feel so lucky to have connected with a wonderful 14-year-old boy in Boston.
